[Be-devel] how to use the git backend?

Hi there,

I've come across Bugs Everywhere and want to give it a try.
I'm a GIT addict.

The Bugs Everywhere website says "Current features [...] Supported
version control backends: Arch, Bazaar, GIT, Mercurial, RCS".

The README from the be Bazaar repository states "It works with
Bazaar-NG and Arch at the moment, but is easily extensible."

When I enter a local GIT repository and try to initialize be, it
complains that there is no revision control:

mitch at yggdrasil:~/git/mitchscripts$ be set-root .
No revision control detected.
Directory initialized.

mitch at yggdrasil:~/git/mitchscripts$ ls -lhd .git/
drwxr-xr-x 8 mitch mitch 4,0K 2008-05-15 22:17 .git/

mitch at yggdrasil:~/git/mitchscripts$ git branch
* master

Does be currently work with GIT or not?
Am I doin it wrong?

Regards,
Christian
