The LINAC2. Protons from the source are accelerated to 50MeV prior to injection into the PS, where they reach around 26GeV. Then onwards to the 450GeV SPS, and finally on to the LHC where they will have travelled thousands of kilometers through beamlines and will eventually reach 7TeV.   (24/117)
