This made my day. All last summer I worked hard to test, calibrate and prepare the HPDs being used in the RICH detectors of the LHCb, and for the first time they were simultaneously ramped to 10,000V. I was there to watch this amazing occasion, but in the end was also able to offer some advice- something I never thought possible. Eventually one entire side of the RICH2 detector was powered to 10kV. The atmosphere in the LHCb control centre went from tense to ecstatic.   (85/117)
