Morag Hannah is a twenty six year old dilettante from the West Coast of Scotland, now based for almost the past decade in Edinburgh, and with no intention to move any time soon. She's been playing and singing all her life, and has been writing and recording songs for around three years. Her first instrument was piano, which she played for twelve years ('though she's dabbled in various instruments including percussion and clarinet), but on leaving home had little access to such an instrument and ended up picking up the guitar instead. Her rather inexpert strummings inspired the beginnings of songwriting activity that has continued in fits and starts, eventually becoming a fairly consistent output of material. Her current solo project, working titled 'Somnambulist Monocycle' (named after a googlewhack), features songs borne of myriad influences, a wide range of emotions and inspirations, and a fondness for easy-to-play suspensions.
